This valued role is responsible for the leadership and execution of AFSVision client implementations and internal base product development projects.
 
Leadership: 
  • This position will require a leader who possesses the business acumen to understand one of our high-profile client’s business objectives and can navigate through project challenges to drive the successful execution of our projects.
  • As a project manager, you will foster strong relationships and proactively collaborate with clients and AFS business analysis and technology leaders across multiple lines of business. 
  • The responsibilities of this role puts you in front of all levels of AFS management, project team members and our banking clients. 
 
Execution: 
  • You will be leading the charge to ensure that our client implementations or internal product development projects are successful. Responsibilities include managing change throughout the full project lifecycle. Key participant in relationship management meetings on-site with client.
  • We are looking for a strong communicator and self-starter who is highly proficient in the use of project management discipline and best practices to manage various approaches to system delivery including waterfall and iterative development.

Responsibilities

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent proven project management experience and success.
  • 7-10+ years of program/project management experience guiding medium to large-sized application projects with multiple work streams and/or release deliveries. 
  • Experience managing larger-sized project teams (25+ people) operating within a matrix organization is required.
  • Prior work experience in the banking/financial services industry is strongly desired and experience in commercial lending would be an added plus.
  • Approximately 25% travel, on average, during peak implementation timeframes to client locations is expected.  All work currently is remote until Covid restrictions are lifted and on-site working conditions are deemed safe.
  • Excellent Word and Excel MS Office skills, proficient in Powerpoint
  • Experience using portfolio management and scheduling software; familiarity with Planview Portfolio Management a plus
  • Experience with Sharepoint, JIRA and Confluence to manage project artifacts and development a plus
  • PMP certification or formal project management certification desired.
