Accounting Associate

Description

  • Process and code customer billing to generate invoices based on predefined criteria
  • Resolve all customer and internal stakeholder inquiries in a timely manner
  • Collaborate with sales and client success teams to resolve client inquiries and disputes
  • Manage accounts receivable and follow-up with multiple clients to track status of payment
  • Maintain company general ledger, monthly and annual close process, and account and intercompany reconciliations
  • Participate in weekly reporting of invoicing totals/aging totals/cash receipts/invoice adjustments
  • Develop and execute on internal controls to ensure high accuracy
  • Ensure completeness and proper recording of all expense transactions including travel and credit card programs
  • Assist with tax compliance and reporting, including tax returns, tax provisions, and tax inspections
  • Identify areas of improvement and establish new processes to create streamlined global communication and efficiency
  • Assist with the implementation of financial software and processes
  • Assist with payroll processing in accordance with federal, state and local legal requirements
  • Research and respond to internal and external payroll related inquiries

Responsibilities

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting; CPA a plus, or relevant experience 2-4 years
  • Strong understanding of GAAP accounting concepts including ACS606 revenue recognition standard
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel, including pivot tables and v-lookup formulas
  • Analytical prowess, strategic thinking and detail-oriented
  • Clear and effective communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Self-starter that adapts well to change in a fast-paced, dynamic workplace
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
