Description

As a business development manager, you will spearhead the expansion of the Piriko platform to other university and college campuses across North America and globally. This project consists of the following business development manager functions:
- Identify, build, develop, and manage a robust portfolio of potential partners in industry, academia, venture capital and other funding communities, in order to grow the business and help the company expand.
- Strengthen and grow corporate relationships with universities and corporate sponsors by setting strategies and plans, implementation, monitoring the execution of plans and reporting on progress to Piriko’s leadership team.
- Actively engage with universities and industry to develop a deep understanding of the challenges faced by students, university administrations, corporate sponsors to ensure alignment of the company’s value proposition to all stakeholders.
- Think critically when planning to assure project success.

Responsibilities

  • Between the ages of 18 and 30
  • Canadian Permanent Resident or Canadian citizen
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g. business, management, marketing)
  • 2-5 years of experience in business development
  • Experience working with universities and corporate sponso.rs on university campuses is a plus.
  • Experience in ed-tech sales is a plus.
  • Extensive network in higher education institutions is a plus.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Bilingual candidates will be given preference.
  • Resourceful and self-motivated; ambitious in achieving sales goals; focused and goal-oriented.
