Description

  • Contribute to the evolution of corporate Human Resources policies, programs that foster employee satisfaction and retention
  • Provide interpretation and guidance in the implementation of existing HR policies and programs
  • Lead the development and oversight of HR Programs, including the organizations’ Health & Safety Program
  • Ensure compliance of the organizations’ Health & Safety Program and provide regular data and reporting
  • Conduct and coordinate workplace investigations related to employee complaints
  • Participate and provide guidance to management to address issues related to performance management
  • Build and strengthen relationships between employees and management
  • Use expertise in HR disciplines, sound judgement and active listening to collaborate with management and employees in the development of solutions on a wide spectrum of employee related situations

Responsibilities

  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Industrial Relations or Business Administration with a specialization in Human Resources
  • A minimum of seven years of progressive Human Resources experience with preference given to those who have worked extensively in employee or labour relations, occupational health & safety, performance management and employment equity
  • Experience providing expertise, guidance and coaching to management
  • Experience managing Human Resource Programs
  • Experience in leading and facilitating meetings and work groups
  • Knowledge and understanding of federal employment laws and macro HR trends
  • The ability to work in both official languages; moving seamlessly between French and English

We offer

This is a full time permanent position offering a salary of between $80,000 to $100,000 annually with a comprehensive benefits package and pension.
