Description
- Participation in the ASR strategy, propose areas of research and define the technical roadmap.
- Proof-of-concept of leading-edge and innovative ideas in the application of ASR/AI to our cloud services.
- Create state-of-the-art end-to-end speech recognition systems and language models.
- Explore research opportunities and establish research collaboration with academics.
- Create Patents and publications in top conferences. Continuous research and evaluation of emerging technologies, staying current on published state-of-the-art ML methods, technologies, and applications.
Responsibilities
- At least 10 years of academic and/or industrial experience in the area of ASR and AI/Machine Learning.
- Theoretical background in Machine Learning/AI/ASR and experience with Deep Learning technologies (e.g. Transformers, LSTM, NMT)
- Proven experience in designing, implementing, and optimizing End-to-End training and inference speech recognition system. Experience in Europe and low-resource languages is a big plus.
- Proven experience with applications of ASR including but not limited to: modern and cutting edge language/acoustic modeling, multi-lingual/cross-language ASR, noise suppression, model Compression, and Acceleration, speaker diarization, voice separation, keyword spotting.
- Experience with some of the following libraries and models: Kaldi, BERT, OpenAI GPT, OpenNMT, CoreNLP, NLTK, Word2vec, and GloVe.
- Good publication track records in machine learning and ASR conferences and journals, including, but not limited to INTERSPEECH, ICASSP, NeurIPS, ASRU, ICLR, ACL.
- Good knowledge of Python and hands-on experience with several of NumPy, SciPy, Pandas, Scikit-Learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras.
- Experience with Search in AI is a big plus.
- Software engineering experience and hands-on experience with Python.
- Experience with various public cloud environments and technologies.
- PhD in maths, computational linguistics, statistics, computer science or equivalent experience.
