Description

  • A candidate will be responsible for German/Austrian entities;
  • Understanding journal entries, that get recorded into the general ledger, mechanically and conceptually; corporate reporting, account analysis, reporting of risk and opportunities;
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with senior Accounting and Finance personnel for various Alliances;
  • Supporting Accounting Manager in process coordination and, if necessary, team coordination;
  • Various reporting requirements including monthly balance sheet variance, Tax, SOX, MRC, audit requests, accounts reconciliation;
  • Participating in month-end activities, including review of balance sheet and contract related journal entries;
  • Intercompany reconciliations and balance confirmation;
  • Clearing bank accounts;
  • Supporting the Team with their knowledge and expertise;
  • Identifying issues and process improvements;
  • Supporting the Team in system migration (implementation of SAP S/4Hana)

Responsibilities

  • At least 5 years’ experience within Accounting, preferably in GL area;
  • Highly developed organizational skills due to significant job responsibilities;
  • A candidate must have the ability to function effectively in fast paced environment;
  • Experience in SSC-environment;
  • Understanding of GL activities;
  • Good knowledge of SAP & MS Excel applications; knowledge of Oracle accounting system and/or Blackline tool would be an asset ;
  • Experience with at least one of the following areas: consolidation, leases, inventory valuation, prepayments; preferably in accordance with US-GAAP;
  • High-level English required, German would be an asset;
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills; a candidate can explain and present problems and issues to others and contribute to their resolution;
  • Previous exposure to working in/for German-speaking environments would be an asset.
