Description

As Project Manager Innovation (m/f/d) you will be responsible for cathode and anode electrode design with our carbon additive Porocarb® to boost charge / discharge performance and thermal properties of the battery cell.
You take over the cell design and upscaling from lab coin cell to large format battery cell.

You will design experiments to evaluate hypothesis and coordinate the execution in internal and external projects.
You are responsible for evaluating test data and generating scientific models to describe the observed performance effects.
Besides, you will be in-charge of supporting projects to accelerate the design-in process of our customers.
Your job will include customer interaction (presentations, Q&A calls, application support) via remote and in person to support successful product placement.
Moreover, you will support our colleagues from Product Management and Marketing & Sales with the Porocarb® promotion and product placement.

Responsibilities

Master's Degree in Physics, Chemistry, Material Science or similar and minimum 3 years of industry experience in Li-ion battery cell design, cell testing and cell qualification
PhD would be a plus with topic connected to energy storage applications, like Li-ion batteries
Familiar with the qualification of new materials for Li-ion batteries, including carbon additives

Work history in electrode material development for Li-ion batteries
Knowledge in cell design, cell performance testing, material analysis and cell performance modelling
Statistical experiment planning (DoE) and statistical evaluation (T-test, ANOVA) of battery test data
Software skills in MiniTab, Origin, Matlab/Simulink or equivalent
Expert in preparing and giving presentations to various internal and external audiences

Self-starter mentality who wants to move projects and driving for results with high flexibility in mind and willingness to learn
Fluent in English and one Asian language (Chinese, Korean or Japanese), willingness to learn German
