Supplier Development Assistant

Description

  • Providing a rapid reaction to all SEWS-E sites issues with immediate support on all Supplier quality documentation requests.
  • To be one of a team of co-ordinators and take a leading role for liaison with sites and Suppliers in terms of requesting new documentation and obtaining missing quality documentation.
  • To ensure Supplier PPAP data are achieved within both our site/ customers’ requirements
  • To identify areas of improvement and manage solution implementation
  • To track and coordinate supplier changes during approval process
  • To advise on Document Management system, Supplier Process Changes, and suppliers adherence to material substance conformance requirements (missing IMDS submissions) in our management systems, so that the site may operate in accordance to support their business requirements
  • Generate weekly/ monthly reports
  • Insure the respect of SEWS-E procedures and objectives
  • Carry out other comparable duties as required by the Line Manager

Responsibilities

  • Experiences in multi-cultural/ language and international environments
  • Technical understanding regarding the goods, ideally wire harness industries
  • Experience and very good knowledge of PPAP is essential and automotive documentary requirements
  • Knowledge of Quality Systems, 8D problem solving tool, APQP (advanced products quality planning) process
  • Have substantial quality/ production /logistics/ planning background and understanding
  • Be willing to lean SEWS-E specific systems and good knowledge of working with Microsoft packages
  • Be able to communicate effectively at all levels with emphasis on a high degree of Supplier contact/liaison
  • Understanding of the manufacturing constraints
  • Good communication and problem solving skills
  • Be analytical and proactive in response to internal and Supplier requirements
  • The job holder must have a strong sense of ownership and a commitment to do what is necessary to achieve satisfactory results in an environment which can be constantly changing
  • English language is a must and other second language can be useful

We offer

This role is initially for a 12 month period, with the possibility of being permanent after 12 months.
