Description

  • Assist the editorial and marketing department with assembling material required for pitch work.
  • Preparation of new and existing material for the editors ensuring edits are up to date and all the latest VFX versions included.
  • Assist in setting up new projects ensuring editorial formats of the pipeline are in place.
  • Manage the existing Premiere Project timelines and all relevant updates for multiple episodes, simultaneously.
  • Ingest incoming and outgoing media, including EDLs.
  • Input shotgun frame ranges and any additional editorial information for each episode as it is turned over.
  • General production support.
  • Export and encode ProRes and DPX sequence deliverables.
  • Quality control of all deliverables – internal and external.
  • Export various file formats and encoding.
  • Export working edits for departmental, creative and production reviews.
  • Premiere project & footage set up if required (not relevant for this one).
  • Assemble edits where needed including but not limited to A/B overlay edits for QC.
  • Be respectful of the production schedule and meeting weekly assignments/quotas.
  • Provide regular updates to supervisors demonstrating the progression of your work.
  • Proactive in driving the use and improvement of Shotgun across the floor.

Responsibilities

  • Bachelor's degree or previous editing experience in a CG or VFX studio.
  • Understanding of CG/VFX principles.
  • Experience with Premiere Pro and Shotgun.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good problem-solving and technical skills.
  • Proven ability to manage time and meet deadlines.
  • Proven ability to work as autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Able to edit quickly in a fast paced environment.
  • Positive and Proactive.
