Description

  • Works with proposal and business development teams to draft, write, format, edit, and produce proposal documents.
  • Assist in the preparation and writing of Requests for Information (RFI) and Requests for Proposals (RFP) responses.
  • Reviews and interprets the RFP to determine customer requirements to develop a compliant response.
  • Coordinate proposal responses to meet specific technical requirements addressed in RFPs.
  • Edit and proofread proposals and technical documents for grammar and clarity.
  • Interview technical staff to write and update project descriptions, resumes, etc.
  • Write non-technical material for proposals, such as executive summaries, staff bios, etc.
  • Work with the Proposal Manager in maintaining configuration control of documents, deliverables, and content repositories.
  • Provide logistics support to the proposal team.
  • Interfaces with Business Development, Capture Management, Engineering, Program Management, Contracts, and other stakeholders for proposal-related activities.
  • Works closely with the Proposal Manager to perform administrative tasks, as required.

Specific Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, or related field.
  • Strong writing skills.
  • Experience in technical writing preferred.
  • Experience in government contracting proposals preferred.
  • Experience in the government or defense industry preferred.
  • Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills – especially Word.
  • Experience using SharePoint or Google Enterprise preferred.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret level security clearance.
