Description

  • Perform the necessary step to secure that the M&S range sold in your country complies with the Product Safety laws in your country
  • Execute the correct reporting and handling of product safety and prepare the relevant documentation to ensure that the process is working as per Countries regulations and is connected to M&S ways of working
  • Identify and escalate all Product Safety & Compliance issues within the retail country and when needed, support other functions in the country
  • Prepare, interpret and document relevant national product standards and regulations
  • Translate standards and regulations applicable for the sales mark
  • Develop a good working relationship with national consumer authorities and be identified as the M&S contact person in all matters relating to product safety and compliance on the local market
  • Support with the Regional Expansion Plans whenever necessary including Commercial planning, build up and opening phases.
  • Being the expert within the retail country on Product Safety & Compliance issues
  • Knowledgeable enough on the process of getting approvals & permits on time
  • Any other tasks as and when assigned by the immediate superior
  • Provide regular updates on post submission internally and principal companies
  • Follow up with principal companies and authorities to accelerate registration and approval process

Responsibilities

  • A minimum of 3 to 4 years of translation experience
  • MS Office Applications
  • Fluency in English and at Least Two Languages (Arabic & French), Written and Verbal Communication
  • Excellent command of Arabic, very good command of English and a good command of French
  • The ability to grasp new concepts quickly, i.e. technical terms
  • A clear writing style with an impeccable knowledge of spelling and grammar
