Translator (m/f/d) - Spanish/ English

Description

  • You will translate different materials (e.g., webshop content, marketing material, internal information and trainings, catalog content, articles or advertisements) from English into Spanish in cooperation with our motorcycle experts
  • Besides, you are also responsible for the proofreading and quality check of the internally translated texts and correcting possible mistakes
  • In cooperation with an external translation company, you fulfill tasks related to catalog translation, such as extracting terminology, coordinating terminology lists within the translation team and in cooperation with our sales teams and doing individual pre-translations
  • Furthermore, you prepare source texts, create table translation memories, do the quality check of the externally translated catalog content and answer questions from the external agency
  • Additionally, you take care of the different language translation memories, maintain our terminology databases and process translation related correction requests from other departments

Responsibilities

  • You have successfully graduated from a degree in translation or completed a comparable training
  • Having a high level of grammar and text competence in your translating languages helps you to deliver best results possible
  • Proficiency in another foreign language (e.g., French, German, Italian) is seen as a plus
  • Being experienced in using SDL Trados, terminology management systems (e.g., SDL Multiterm) as well as MS Office will help you carrying out your daily tasks
  • Additionally, you do have a positive can-do attitude, are reliable and able to keep deadlines and do have good communication skills
