Catalan Translation and Localization Internship

Description

A new internship program is beginning at iDISC. The purpose of this program is to train new translators and localizers. The goal is to integrate them as regular collaborators once the internship period is over.

Responsibilities

  • Translation, localization, postediting, proofreading, quality assurance, project management.
  • Internal training in TAO tools, localization processes, and feedback management.
  • Use of all software associated with localization tasks and project management.
  • Mentorship by senior linguists and project managers.

  • Organization and time-management skills

Additional essential requirements

  • Be enrolled with a university that can provide an internship agreement for the duration of the internship
  • Be able to work 4 hours a day (We suggest a schedule from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. CET, but we’re flexible).

  • Advanced language knowledge

We offer

  • A hands-on experience working in the translation and localization industry.
  • Internships are paid.
  • After the initial months, the agreement may be extended if the student still has internship hours to complete, the integration into the team has been successful, and the student has completed the tasks according to all the requirements, both as far as following the instructions in a timely manner and in the expected quality, and work allows.
