Splunk is looking for an SEO intern to support our demand generation focused SEO team. This role will assist in researching, creating, editing, publishing, and analyzing web content crafted to rank for high-value keywords on search engines like Google.

Role

The Splunk internship program runs for a minimum of 10 weeks, up to a maximum of 12 consecutive weeks with start dates between May and June 2023. Applicants should be available to participate full-time (40 hours/week) in an internship during this time.

• Help conduct keyword research to find opportunities for new website content
• Get hands-on in our primary CMS, Adobe Experience Manager, to make edits and publish new content
• Research and create blog posts and other content
• Update and refresh existing web content
• Learn and apply best-in-class SEO processes to ensure content succeeds in Organic/Natural Search

Skill Requirements

• Experience with research, writing, and editing about a variety of Tech and IT related topics - similar to a research report.
• Interest in learning about websites, basic HTML, how to use a Content Management System and common SEO tools, how SEO and web marketing works.
• Ability to handle multiple projects and priorities, timely and efficiently, in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Interest or experience in Tech and IT topics is a bonus but not required.

Education Requirements

• Actively pursuing a Bachelor’s in English, Business, Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field, with a strong record of academic achievement.
• Graduation date of December 2023 or later.
