Translation/Localization Project Coordinator

Description

The Translation/Localization Project Coordinator is responsible to support the project management team during the flow of all localization project activities from start to finish. This includes defining the scope, ensuring project quality, and managing the budget. The ideal candidate should demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, be comfortable learning new tools, possess strong Microsoft Office skills, be attentive to detail, and be able to work in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

  • Client-oriented with focus on client satisfaction.
  • Plan and monitor projects to meet the deadline, quality, and budget requirements.
  • Scoping and quoting projects.
  • Organize client/linguist production reviews.
  • Collaborate with internal production to initiate and implement procedural changes and customized workflows.
  • Provide support and input to sales and external clients, including education about the localization process, as required.
  • Ensure the accuracy of financial project data, workflows, schedules, and processes.
  • Resolve questions and issues in a timely and effective manner for clients, suppliers, and internal teams.
  • Meet objectives and performance indicators.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Ability and desire to learn new skills, technologies, industry, and Propio way
  • Knowledge of MS Office suite
  • Ability to work in a deadline-driven environment
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Project management training and/or PMP is a plus
  • Translation/localization project management experience is a plus
  • Fluent in written and spoken English; Bilingual/multilingual a plus
  • Experience in CAT tools, Translation Management Systems (TMS), DTP tools, HTML/XML as plus
  • Experience with design tools like Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop is a plus
  • Excellent writing skills
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Confidence in customer-facing and during project challenges
  • Bachelor's Degree in IT, linguistics, business administration, or equivalent
