Technetix provides breakthrough solutions to evolve broadband networks. The marketing copywriter and content creator is responsible for creating content that will typically be used across a range of media including brochures, user manuals, datasheets, white papers, press releases, editorial, landing pages, newsletters, email communications and social media. They will write articles for direct communications between Technetix and their customers, in addition to trade press, professional associations and the wider industry.

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

You will assist in developing, implementing and executing marketing communication campaigns in support of the group marketing plans. You will need to be a good communicator who can work with our engineers and product managers to draw out the information needed to attract the attention and interest of potential customers. We are looking for someone who can write a compelling call to action or headline, through to clear and informative longer content that provides value and boosts our SEO.

Responsibilities include:

  • Contribute to marketing communications plan by thorough review of all written documentation as required. Proof reading, checking accuracy of content and ensure it is written in plain English (American English) for an international audience.
  • Work with product marketing and the CTO team to obtain an in-depth understanding of our products and services.
  • Determine the needs of our customers and key stakeholders by regular liaison with our sales and business development teams (marketing ambassadors).
  • Support our team with presentations, marketing assets/sales packs and constructing targeted follow up marketing communications for event attendees.
  • Develop online and offline content including datasheets, newsletters, adverts, awards submissions, press releases and White Papers (in conjunction with product managers/technical specialists).
  • Research to support both your own writing and materials as well as others.
  • Ensure all content, marketing and communications materials are engaging on brand.
  • Work with graphic designer to consider the use of images, illustrations, infographics, diagrams, animation and charts to increase the readers understanding.
  • Create website copy; ensuring it is engaging, well-written and SEO friendly.
  • Ensure content is distributed and communicated as appropriate.
  • Support the Marketing Manager and the team with the implementation of the marketing strategy.

QUALITIES

The ideal candidate will be a quick learner, keen to understand our target audience and integrate yourself with our business, products & technologies. As well as content production, you will have a good understanding of effective marketing & sales strategy and be able to assist the marketing team in other areas subject to the demands and requirements of the business – keeping the role varied and challenging. This is a results based, collaborative role that requires creative commercial writing and technical marketing skills.

  • Impeccable writing and editorial skills, with an outstanding command of the English language
  • The ability to work with a wide range of people at all levels of the organisation, often where English is a second language is crucial.
  • A flexible approach with a willingness to get involved in all areas of marketing as required
  • Strong attention to detail and not afraid to ask questions - able to fact-check and proofread own work to ensure it is of a high standard
  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills - with a keen eye for technical detail and the ability to make information easily understandable in text and diagrams
  • Ability to think holistically - understanding how design and copy work together to provide customers with a consistent end-to-end message
  • Experience in creating optimized content that will contribute to increasing web traffic and online conversion
  • Time management: ability to scope, organize and execute multiple projects with interrelated goals
  • Excellent knowledge of Office 365 applications
  • Previous experience in a similar role desirable

Education

Degree educated or equivalent professional qualification (marketing/journalism).

Highly articulate with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
