We are in search of a UX Designer to join our team!

 

The UX Designer (UXD) will be responsible for research, information architecture, and design deliverables for a variety of user interfaces including web and mobile applications. The UXD will also be responsible for conducting user and stakeholder research activities to inform user-centered insights for deliverables. 

 

The UXD must have 5-10 years of experience and a solid understanding of graphic design and web technologies. A good grasp of design programs and tools such as Adobe XD, Photoshop, and Illustrator is also necessary. They should also have a working knowledge of front-end technologies, HTML, and CSS. The UXD must have the ability to quickly adapt to new technologies and a willingness to keep their skills and industry knowledge current.

 

The UXD is expected to be self-directed but also collaborative. They should maintain good communication, time-management skills, and familiarity working in an Agile environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform user research and observation of user tasks, integrating these findings with business requirements to transform the user’s mental model into the user interface
  • Work with stakeholders and others independently or as part of a multidisciplinary team to define requirements and develop the solution, depending on the project
  • Develop user profiles, usability requirements, use cases, and scenarios to articulate the solution experience
  • Conduct usability testing
  • Design intuitive and simple user interfaces for web and mobile solutions, producing journey maps, storyboards, mockups, and prototypes
  • Iteratively prototype designs using research insights and user feedback
  • Leverage experience in prototype tools such as Adobe XD, Sketch, Axure, and InVision
  • Utilize various cognitive techniques to evaluate user interfaces with end-users to refine the UI to ensure it complements the user’s task, environment, profile, and needs
  • Display teamwork and persuasive interpersonal communications skills
  • Be an advocate for users throughout the product development process
