Reporting to the Technical Manager and supported by our area ready mix concrete managers, technicians and the services of an internal test house and mix design laboratory, you will build solid and lasting relationships with senior technical, commercial and operational management across the business and with our customers and client group to deliver the following:

What will you bring?

 

  • Degree level preferred but not essential, or some element of technical concrete qualification
  • Proven experience in a Quality role within a Construction, Civil Engineering or Building environment with experience of working with concrete
  • Knowledge of Quality Assurance ISO 9001, EN206 and BS8500
  • Be able to operate in line with safety, health, environment and quality procedures and legislation, our brand values, competition law compliance and other business processes and procedures
  • Ability to communicate and build relationships with a broad range of stakeholders and customers
  • Be able to demonstrate flexibility to adapt and respond to change
  • Proven ability to motivate self to meet targets and deliver results and manage costs

Responsibilities

  • Physical, virtual, & telephone communication with Customers to discuss & resolve technical queries for both tender & live contracts
  • Coordination & collaboration of both Customer & London Concrete Cube making & associated data to the benefit of both parties
  • Involvement in Plant trials alongside the Customer pre--contract to validate bespoke mixes and help promote London Concrete
  • Aid in the promotion of new or bespoke products to the Customer where there is potential to add value
  • Support the Territory Sales Managers during face to face site meetings
  • MRA management including validation and new MRA development
  • Performance products development and support
  • Raw material quality monitoring and reporting
  • Leadership in maintaining a safe and healthy working environment
  • Operate and manage the quality management systems to ensure attainment of the KPI’s
  • Review material combinations to ensure the region maintains the lowest practical cost base
  • Assist in troubleshooting, root cause analysis to identify areas of conformity improvement
  • Agree and where necessary develop workflow/ procedures for compliance
  • Build customer relationships and provide specialist technical support
  • Interact with the area management to highlight trends towards non-conformity
