We are looking for a strong Senior Product Manager who has a passion for helping developers create user experiences across web and mobile that make our customers successful. With Okta’s massive growth and international adoption, it’s more important than ever to take our end-user experience to the next level and empower developers to integrate those experiences in their own products.

A great end-user web and mobile optimized experience is one of the key aspects that differentiate Okta from traditional enterprise applications and services. And with Okta’s diverse customer needs, those experiences need to be open and accessible to developers. This role will be responsible for partnering closely with Engineering, User Experience, Customer Success, Sales, Support, Training, and Marketing teams to build products that help developers build delightful end-user experiences.

Success in this role will require a strong ability to understand customer requirements, a deep empathy for developer experience, and the ability to strategically prioritize what’s most important while managing requests from multiple product teams at Okta.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Define and execute on product roadmaps for developers and end-users

• Work with Engineering, your peers across the PM organization, and customers to capture requirements and document user stories and use cases to guide product development for experiences that will be used by millions of users every day.
• Prioritize features that balance end user experience and developer success
• Analyze and use data to help support product decisions and roadmap.
• Collaborate with product marketing and technical marketing to support creation of messaging and content and enable the Okta sales team
• Empower developers to do more with Okta

• Solidify customer success by defining SDKs and other extensibility points to ensure developers can easily customize and integrate Okta’s products
• Work directly with Okta’s developer community and developer relations team to incorporate feedback and ensure that developers have documentation, getting started samples, and all of the information they need to integrate these experiences into their own applications.
• Remove developer friction by defining tools and other resources to help create an end-to-end experience that drives developer adoption of SDKs.
• Help build, and engage a great team

• Help recruit top talent and evangelize Okta to customers, candidates and the broader community
• Embrace and advance Okta’s collaborative and innovative culture by partnering with engineering, the wider product team and the rest of the company
• Drive product innovation by rapid triage of ideas with facts and data

• Work with the rest of the Okta product leaders to prioritize and deliver the innovation required to advance the strategy and roadmap for user experience
• Partner with the data team to track product usage metrics and tie those metrics to business success

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree
• Experience across the product management lifecycle
• Strong technical background including experience working with developer-focused API services and SDKs
• Experience with HTML, JavaScript, CSS, front-end web frameworks like React and Angular, and native mobile SDKs including iOS and Android
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong presentation and leadership skills
• 5+ years of industry experience. 3+ years of product management or related experience
• Track record of successful delivery of complex projects

• Background or degree in computer science
• Understanding of authentication and authorization standards
• Participation in open source projects and communities
• Experience creating and managing multi-tenant SaaS software at a market-leading company
• Advanced degree in technical or business field
