Description

We are searching for a Manager of Localization Technology & Strategy who would be responsible for the localization technology infrastructure, content globalization strategy, and corporate localization team. Together, our Digital Marketing Technology organization, Content & Localization team, deliver a high-quality multi-lingual and multi-cultural experience that increases the engagement with our users. This is an exciting role, full of growth opportunities cultivated by collaboration with different teams. You will ensure the intent of our content creators can travel to users around the world through added scale and agility for our localization efforts, from highly creative online marketing experiences to more technical instructional content. This role will elevate localization transparency and contributions, growing localization awareness.

Responsibilities

  • Provide vision, assistance, and mentorship to your team to stay ahead of the trends and ahead of the curve
  • Optimize digital localization strategy with best & latest solutions for scale; show how technology can supplement an outstanding team with flexibility and burst capabilities
  • Raise awareness of the benefits and needs of localization, growing visibility, discussion, and innovation
  • Set prioritization and critical issue strategies for your team which reinforce localization perfection at scale while also empowering the team to pick the right places to lean into high touch solutions
  • Engage with content, regional and marketing teams, and at times directly with creative agencies and in-house creative teams, to redefine the way content travels from local creators to global audiences through localization
  • Use appropriate industry methodologies and frameworks to measure impact and assign value
  • Establish, analyze, track, and communicate metrics to measure success and ensure objectives are being met
  • Partner closely with colleagues executing vendor engagement and scaled program management to continuously improve our resource forecasting and strategy, and to deliver localization perfection at scale as one team
  • You will be encouraged to lead by example in your mentorship of the team, collaboration with peers, and partnership with colleagues and creators

Background and experience

  • Localization experience
  • People-management experience
  • Deep knowledge & experience of localization technologies, translation memory solutions, and integrations between content, digital and localization tools
  • Native-level proficiency in English and another language is a requirement
  • Experience working in another country is preferred
  • Demonstrated tenacity, resilience, and leadership experience that enables you to prioritize and run programs, overcome challenges, and propose solutions
