The Business Intelligence Analyst will set up a reporting infrastructure, designing and generating several reports across the business producing insights and visibility over how the technology teams operate. The role collaboratively works across business lines, directly with managers and SLT to gather requirements and specifications to gain a better sense of the current shortcomings in reporting technology, devising solutions to enhance reporting and data management. This role drives consistency and quality of reporting, challenging relevancy of content and articulating complex data in a way that can be easily understood.

 

Responsibilities:

• Define operating and performance metrics across all technology teams
• Source data from existing information systems, adding more data collection points where necessary
• Make recommendation to help simplify and automate the capture of data and insights for Technology Governance reporting.
• Design reports and dashboards showcasing these metrics to a variety of stakeholders, including operational teams, managers and the Senior Leadership Team.
• Use data-gathering and modelling strategies to provide an overview of new processes and enhanced procedures for business-wide reporting.
• Manage the annual calendar of when reports are due and to whom they are due
• Work with the Technology Management team to ensure target thresholds are agreed upon for each lead or lag indicator.
• Arrange and minute a monthly meeting to go through reporting and test management to ensure we are measuring relevant areas.
• Exercise sound judgement while analysing and interpreting data to ensure a high level of accuracy, timeliness, and usefulness for business leaders.
• Can work independently with the other areas of our business to ensure that they are getting the format of reporting needed for CEO and SLT, Technology Board and Board, AR.

Requirements:

• Experience in SQL, Power BI, and other data analysis programs
• Analytical skills that allow for the development of data-driven reports
• Ability to automate the collection and processing of data across various information systems
• Experience with scripting languages would be advantageous
• Tendency to pay close attention to small details that could impact results
• General knowledge of business operations, objectives, strategies, process and information flow
• Proven C-Suite level Reporting development and presentation
