Description

The Project Manager – Middle Office Brussels role will be responsible for project management oversight pertaining to a Brussels middle office service related to: BRS’ Aladdin, TradeFlow, OMS (Mutual Funds) platforms. The Project Manager will also work as part of a global team that will coordinate the various project tasks to ensure the successful system implementation across each service delivery location.

 

 

Your key responsibilities

 

The Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing the following:

  •  Monitoring your projects portfolio to ensure project accountabilities and deliverables are met on time and within budget,
  • Coordinating with teammates ensuring all project accountabilities and deliverables are met on time and within budget, at team level
  • Collaborate with global counterparts and local operational managers to ensure proper coverage of assigned tasks
  • Budget planning and resource allocation for project work streams
  • Planning management, control and update, as well as ensuring the project is executed based upon the project plan.
  • Control, management and escalations of all risks, impacts and delays
  • Champion client relationship management throughout project stages in conjunction with local and global RMs
  • Accountable to feed all project stakeholders (Programme, Client, Management, etc.) and ensure the key and appropriate updates/issues are raised
  • Undertake and maintain Service Level Agreements for potential new global operating model post migration
  • Support a high level of organizational communication and corporate awareness concerning workflow changes and future state of middle office operations
  • Provide value added solutions that enable the project team to realize new opportunities and efficiencies
  • Track and identify project needs from senior management and operational support teams in order to meet objectives
  • Lead and participate in new instrument and client onboarding
  • Responsible for the implementation of regulatory and market changes (ie CSDR)
  • Ensuring all procedures are produced for the handover to operational and support teams
  • Create project meeting agendas and lead weekly and monthly update meetings detailing status of project
  •  Willingness to take on other duties as assigned by management to ensure project deadlines are met

Responsibilities

  • You have 5+ years in successfully managing international projects in financial service industry
  • Knowledge of the Asset Management and Asset Servicing industry (must have)
  • Strong analytical & synthesis skills
  • Knowledge of Aladdin and Aladdin implementation (it is considered a plus)
  • Strong negotiating and leadership skills to influence senior management and drive change management in order to meet deadlines
  • Demonstrated experience in leading organizational transformation
  • Willingness to act as subject matter expert on behalf of the business when needed
  • Collaborative decision maker competent in process improvement discipline and implementation of industry acknowledged best practices
  • Proven capacity to manage by influence decision making throughout various organizational levels
  • Ability to effectively advise and communicate with executive leadership, manage change and inspire partners to embrace change
  • Communicates effectively with diverse groups and individuals across different countries, languages, and time zones
  • Relevant experience in the financial services industry
  • PMP Certification, Prince2, Agile or Equivalent
  • Fluent in English (is a must), French (mandatory) and Dutch (is a plus)
