Job Description

We are looking to employ a Communications Specialist with exceptional public speaking and writing skills. A Communications Specialist is expected to be a strategic thinker with a meticulous attention to detail, working well under pressure and meeting deadlines.

Salary range: $43000 - $50000 per year.

 

 

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with management to develop and implement an effective communications strategy based on our target audience.

Write, edit, and distribute content, including publications, press releases, website content, annual reports, speeches, and other marketing material that communicates the organization's activities, products and/or services.

espond to media inquiries, arrange interviews, and act as a spokesperson for the organization.

Establish and maintain effective relationships with journalists, and maintain a media database.

Seek opportunities to enhance the reputation of the brand, and coordinate publicity events as required.

Maintain records of media coverage and collate analytics and metrics.

Proficiency in design and publishing software.

Manage conflict as it arises and escalate to management.

Specific Requirements

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a communications specialist.
  • Solid understanding of project management principles
  • Excellent communication (oral and written) and presentation skills
  • Outstanding organizational and planning abilities
  • Proficient command of English
  • BSc/BA in public relations, communications, or relevant field.
  • Strategic, enthusiastic, and creative thinker
  • Knowledge of how to use computer programs (i.e., Microsoft Office)
