Copy-editing Spanish UN and NGO reports on a wide range of topics

Proofreading Spanish translations: ensuring that translations are of high quality and have been thoroughly proofread

Translating English texts into Spanish

Maintaining Spanish translation assets: updating databases of terms and TMs
Responsibilities
-
University degree in translation
-
Native Spanish speaker
-
Excellent Spanish writing skills
-
Experience working as a professional translator
-
Experience of working with Computer Aided Translation (CAT) tools such as Memsource or Trados or in a translation environment/agency
-
Organised, self-starter, capable of working independently without guidance
-
Mature and responsible
-
Flexibility
-
Excellent MS Office skills
-
Willingness to learn
-
At least 2 years of experience working as a translator/editor for a translation company, NGO or publisher
-
Experience working in-house for a translation agency
-
Experience of translating development-related texts
-
Good knowledge of a third language
-
UK residency or pre-settled status is desirable. Visa sponsorship considered for outstanding candidates.
