Translate from English into Spanish a variety of AARP branded material, including web-based articles on social issues, health, technology, entertainment, finances, etc
-
Subtitle videos into Spanish using specialized subtitling software

Conduct quality control (review/proofreading/editing) of third-party translated documents and videos

Review and update glossaries, style guides, and databases
Responsibilities
-
Must be enrolled in a graduate degree program in Translations from an accredited college/university in the United States or Puerto Rico and remain academically enrolled throughout the internship

Technical proficiency in Microsoft Office programs and video communications platforms such as Zoom or Microsoft Teams

Exceptional written communications skills and attention to detail

Native/Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English

Knowledge of Spanish grammar as prescribed by the Real Academia Española (RAE)

Knowledge of translation and review of best practices

Cultural awareness

In-office/open office environment with the ability to work effectively surrounded by moderate noise
