Description
The senior Project Manager (PM), part of the Technical Services (TS) team, serves as a customer facing trusted advisor for Scality. He/she owns and is responsible of the overall delivery of the Scality value to its customers. From start to end, he/she oversees and organizes our customers and internal resources to ensures a painless design, delivery, setup and support of their Scality solution.
As the customer frontman, he/she guarantees the effectiveness of the communication channels with support, product, sales, engineering. He/she leads and guarantees the execution of the TS processes over the lifetime of the customer.
Location: Paris Office with Remote Policy available
Qualifications:
- The ideal candidate must have the following knowledge and skills:
 - BS or MS degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent
 
Technical Skills:
- Project management methodologies and tools
 - Knowledge of storage solutions is a plus
 - Linux culture is a plus
 
Interpersonal Skills:
- Strong leadership skills: ability to drive various interactions with customer and Scality teams
 - Strong interpersonal skills to be able to lead project teams
 - Multilevel communication (oral, written English)
 - Accountability

Experience;
- Minimum 5 years of experience in project management is a must
 - Experience in managing IT Infrastructure projects is a plus
 - Experience in managing Fortune 2000 accounts is a plus

Responsibilities
Delivery: the project manager drives the post-sales customer interactions and project delivery. Specifically, he/she:
- acts as the primary point of contact for the customer delivery within Scality
 - is accountable for the quality and the schedule of the delivery projects, in accordance with the processes defined within TS
 - identifies and manages the risks associated with each project
 - ensures proper communication to all project stakeholders (customer, partners, Scality)
 - provides regular reporting on the progress of the his/her projects to the management as well as the account team
 
Support: the project manager may be involved in specific support activities on a per-needed basis. More specifically:
- He/she coordinates customer and internal interactions for specific accounts where extended services are provided in addition to standard support
 - He/she temporarily leads ad-hoc and cross-functional Scality teams set up to manage critical incidents or situations at customers
 
Pre-sales activities: the project manager is typically involved in
- Large Proof Of Concept (POC) projects
 - Quoting services for non-standard services
 
Contributes to the improvement of TS processes and tools
- Improvement of project deliverables such as projects Statement Of Work and other deliverables
 - Contributes to interactions with partners on project management (including education of partners)
