Description

  • Responsible for giving advice and expertise on procurement activities, and produce procurement documents, being accountable for a consistent and best practice approach and compliance with established processes and guidance –being responsible for maintaining an efficient procurement process
  • Accountable for the administration of IT systems, tender management, and record management of procurements
  • To carry out appropriate market analysis to contribute to the delivery of an effective procurement plan, identifying and evaluating key information, potential suppliers and opportunities, whilst ensuring the procurement will contribute to HE KPI’s
  • Responsible for a wide range of Stakeholder management and communication with project teams
  • Accountable for compiling procurement strategies and delivering procurements to address business needs. Providing a proactive approach to mitigating potential risks and issues whilst contributing to the continual improvement and innovation of procurements
  • Responsible for the planning and management of consensus meetings, including stakeholder involvement
  • Responsible for the production of award letters including drafting of comprehensive feedback to suppliers
  • Accountable for the management and maintenance of effective Supplier relationships, representing National Highways and the procurement division where necessary.

Responsibilities

  •  You will have an understanding of the Procurement lifecycle including contract options and procurement strategy drafting
  • You will have experience of supporting procurement exercises in a project environment
  • Able to demonstrate a Proficiency in a range of office software products to enable production / maintenance of a range of complex documents, spreadsheets and management reports
  • You will be able to demonstrate good customer service and communication skills
  • You will have demonstrable stakeholder and supplier management skills at all levels.
