The Agri Insurance Underwriter has a key responsibility for the business both in terms of growth and profitability.

 

Your mission is to transform deals at best terms and conditions, in accordance with his/her Underwriting authorities and in strict compliance with the Underwriting framework in force. The Underwriter decisions have key impact on overall business, both in terms of growth and profitability. 

 

• Design Agri insurance covers tailored to client needs (parametric + indemnity)
• Underwrite deals: as “deal leader”, the Underwriter is accountable to manage the broker / client and to secure deal delivery from A to Z (inc. risk analysis, pricing, decision making process, policy wording, negotiation of terms and conditions).
• Develop and Build worldclass underwriting capabilities (projects related to products, data, tools, etc.).

Experience required:

• Top Maths / physics academic background
• 10+ years of experience in Agri insurance

 

 

Technical Skills:

• Expertise of pricing and underwriting (e.g. guidelines, risk carriers, insurance / reinsurance / captive / derivative set-up).
• Main Crops expertise
• Expertise of data modeling

 

 

Behavioural Skills:

• Ability to prioritize tasks in the context of many deals in parallel.
• Clarity of thinking and communication.
• Ability to listen to clients/brokers, but also help them to buy the proposed solution.
